As one of the founding partners of the home building company, Peter Gialluisi knows that patience and dedication are crucial to success.

In this interview, he talks about how Gialluisi Custom Homes has grown over the years. He also gives more details about the avenue for investors and the company’s future plans.

How much did Gialluisi Custom Homes grow over the years?

“Gialluisi Custom Homes went from building three homes a year 12 years ago, to progressively building up to 18 homes a year. We’ve really grown and we couldn’t be more happy about it,” says Peter Gialluisi.

The company has got to the point where it needs to keep growing in order to keep up with the large number of demands. Development is crucial for Gialluisi Custom Homes, especially now that we are taking over the Chatham residential market.

“We went through the residential market up in Chatham over the last two years,” Peter highlights. But we are doing multiple projects in Summit and Short Hills as well. “We have about 13 projects running in these three towns,” he adds.

The best is yet to come

At this point, you may think that it can’t get better than this. Building 18 homes a year sounds like it’s time for the team to sit back and relax.

But that’s not the case for Gialluisi Custom Homes.

Progress continues for the company. Or, as Peter puts it, “Gialluisi Custom Homes is stepping it up.”

As he refers to the more expensive home building projects, Peter explains that there will be other new home additions in the future, beside pools and smart home systems.

“In some of the future homes, we are going to add wine cellars and home theaters. Details make the difference, right?”

Let’s talk about development projects

“We are currently building 29 condos and townhouses up in Morristown, New Jersey,” Peter says.

This amazing project will be completed within the next 24 months. “We’ve already accepted deposits on all units,” he continues.

However, if you are thinking about moving in one of the condos built by our team, we have good news. We have another project coming in South Amboy.

“We’re going to build 18 high-end apartments there. The building process will start in about four months and it will be ready by the end of 2018,” explains Peter.

Investment opportunities at Gialluisi Custom Homes

To get a better understanding of the structure of the company, you should know that Gialluisi Custom Homes has three divisions:

  1. New home construction
  2. Renovation, addition, remodel
  3. Commercial avenue

Wondering if you can invest in the company’s projects? The answer is yes.

“Gialluisi Custom Homes has an avenue for investors and we have quite a few investors already”, says Peter. You can invest in commercial or residential projects. “I can sit down and propose any of these two options to a potential investor,” Peter continues.

So far, the company has worked with about almost 20 different investors. “Our avenue for investors is currently open, as we are looking to build a few more townhouses and six to eight new homes,” Peter adds.

When asked what he sees when he looks at the company ten years from now, Peter talks with a smile on his face.

“I think we are probably going to be building 30 homes a year, as our goal is to grow the business,” he says.

Peter’s wish is to keep Gialluisi Custom Homes a family business. He dreams that someday his children will join the team as well.

“We love what we do. My partner, Todd Ellner, and I invest a lot of time and effort into the company. We value all the people that work with us: Patrick Nardone, Robert Scherer, Mark Levine, the realtors, the engineers, the architects, the social media team… I can honestly say that we are all a big family and we work hand in hand wonderfully.”
